SOLDERING

AMCO 64 is a chloride-free, high viscosity organic based flux compounded for low-temperature, 350° to 550° F (177° to 288° C) aluminum soldering. The preferred solders to use with Amco 64 flux are:
63Pb/34Sn/3Zn
91Sn/9Zn
50Sn/50Pb (although not preferred, will perform satisfactorily)

AMCO 2213 is a liquid, low viscosity flux for low temperature aluminum soldering. This flux has a distinctive amber color and works well on both aluminum and wrought aluminum alloys, including 3003 and 6061. Residue is easily removed with hot water. It is a thinner formulation than the Amco 64 flux.

AMCO 66A is a reaction-type flux recommended for high temperature, 720° to 800° F (382° to 427° C) aluminum soldering where the solder alloy is preplaced at the joint. Amco 66A is typically used in soldering air-conditioning condensers for the automotive industry. The recommended solders for use with Amco 66A are:
95Zn / 5Al
98Zn / 2 Al
Pure Zn alloys
Shelf life for this product is six months in the unopened container stored at room temperature.

BRAZING

AMCO 33 is a high-activity flux for oxyacetylene or oxyhydrogen torch brazing with pure aluminum-silicon filler alloys. Conforms to the requirements of AMS 3412A and AWS Class FB1-A.

AMCO 105 is a low-staining furnance brazing flux with high activity. It is usable on all types of brazeable aluminum alloys. Conforms to AWS Class. FB1-B

DIP BRAZING

AMCO 341 is an all-purpose dip brazing for all brazeable aluminum alloys. This product has coarser particles which permits additions to the dip pot with less dusting. Conforms to the requirements of AMS 3416 and AWS CLASS. FB1-C.

AMCO 5014 is a specially compounded, low melting dip brazing flux particularly suited for brazing all the common brazeable aluminum alloys. It is a low-fuming flux with a low melting range which provides for better drainage of parts. Conforms to AWS Class. FB1-C.

WELDING

AMCO 22 is a high activity flux for gas welding aluminum assemblies. This powder is used with pure aluminum filler such as 1100 and the aluminum-silicon alloy fillers such 4043 and 4047. It provides a uniform, continuous bead and is considered the benchmark industry flux for the welding of aluminum. Conforms to AMS 3414A.
