ABOUT US

Frank D. McBride founded American Solder and Flux Co., Inc. in 1910. The Company successfully expanded over the years and relocated to Nicetown, Philadelphia in 1928. In 1950, Frank McBride's son, James J. McBride, joined his father after completing his education and military duties.

In 1969, the company moved again, this time to its present site in Paoli, PA and a west coast facility in Hollister, CA was opened. Upon the passing of Frank McBride in 1971, James J. McBride assumed the presidency of the company and in the ensuing years increased sales over 500%. In 1992 James J. McBride became Chairman of the Board and his son, James F. McBride, after serving the company in various capacities for 15 years, was appointed President.

Force Industries Division manufactures over 180 active formulations used in wide variety of industries including brazing, welding, soldering, galvanizing and can making. Our trained personnel in Customer and Technical Services are available to provide up-to-date information on all of these products.
