AMCO
5009 is a fine powder designed to remove metal oxides at
elevated temperatures. It is particularly effective when used in
the pressure molding and smelting process, including precious metals.
Provides rapid de-oxidation of metal surfaces during the heating
process. Additionally, Amco 5009 forms a barrier to prevent reoxidation
when fusing, molding or reclaiming most all ferrous and non-ferrous
powders, precious metals and their alloys.
AMCO
4968 Galvanizing Top Flux retards the formation of oxide
on the surface of the zinc baths and fluxes the base metal as it
passes through the top flux.
The
zinc coating provides protection to the iron and steel in two ways:
| |
1)the
coating shields the base metal from the atmosphere; |
| |
2)Because
it is more electronegative than iron or steel, the zinc gives
sacrificial protection. |
Even
if the surface is scratched and the base metal is exposed, the zinc
is slowly consumed while the base metal remains protected from corrosion.
SLAGO
is a chemical composition of organic resin acid and chlorides which
act as a catalyst as well as a reducing agent on non-ferrous metals.
It is a free flowing powder and is used as received.
