Aluminum Welding

AMCO 22*

A high-activity flux for oxyacetylene and oxyhydrogen gas welding aluminum assemblies. AMCO 22 is used with pure aluminum filler such as 716, 1100 and aluminum-silicon alloy fillers such as 4043 and 4047. It provides a uniform, continuous bead and is considered the benchmark industry flux for the welding of aluminum.

Conforms to AMS 3414D

AMCO 62

A powder flux for oxyfuel welding (OFW) of gray and malleable cast iron. The flux protects the molten metal from oxidation, increases the fluidity of the slag and helps dissolve oxides and other impurities. This allows for control of the size and shape of the weld bead. Good results obtained using AWS RC1, RC1-A and RC1-B filler metal.

Working temperature: 1300-1800F
AWS Class B

AMCO 4013

Brazing/welding flux for aluminum and aluminum alloys at temperatures of 1050F and above. AMCO 4013 is designed specifically for torch and furnace brazing operations. Compatible with all filler metals of the BA1Si series

Working temperature: above 1050F

General Welding

AMCO 443

Powder flux for oxyfuel welding (OFW) of gray and malleable cast iron. AMCO 443 protects the molten metal from oxidation, increases the fluidity of the slag and helps dissolve oxides and other impurities. This allows for control of the size and shape of the weld bead. Good results obtained using AWS RC1, RC1-A, and RC1-B filler metal.

Working temperature: 1300-1800F
Conforms to AWS Class B

AMCO 444

Powder flux for oxy-fueled welding grey and malleable cast iron. Dissolves oxides and controls the flow of the welding bead. Good results obtained using AWS RC1, RC1-A and RC1-B filler metal. Also available in paste form that conforms to AWS Class D.

Working temperature 1300-1800F
Conforms to AWS Class B

AMCO FERRO

Ferro Flux is designed for welding cast and malleable iron and steel.

Working temperature 1500-2000F

Iron & Steel Welding

AMCO 42

Fine powder flux for oxyfuel welding (OFW) of gray and malleable cast iron, producing dense ductile welds free of porosity. Good results obtained using AWS RC1, RC1-A and RC1-B filler metal. AMCO 42 protects the molten metal from oxidation, increases the fluidity of the slag and helps dissolve oxides and other impurities. This allows for control of the size and shape of the weld bead.

Working temperature 1300-1800F
Conforms to AWS Class B

AMCO 158

Fine powder flux for cast iron welding, producing dense ductile welds free of porosity.

AMCO 1970

Powder flux designed specifically for torch brazing cast iron. Good results obtained using BAg - 3&4 filler metal.

Working temperature: 1270-1500F
Conforms to AWS Class B

PETERSON #1

Formulated for brazing cast and malleable iron and steel. Also for torch welding of brass, bronze and copper. It allows alloys to flow and form a strong bond on malleable iron. Peterson #1 destroys all oxides and floats them to the surface.

Working temperature: 1200-1600F
Conforms to AWS Class FB3-F

PETERSON #2

Similar to Peterson #1 but with an increased high-end temperature range. It is a blend of flux and metal which synergistically performs at temperature. Good results obtained by using cast iron rods that meet AWS A5.15-56T

Working temperature: 1400-2200F
Conforms to AWS Class FB3-J
